If you drive a car, drink coffee, print from a computer, or hundreds of other common activities, you use a Vernay product. We have locations across the globe, we’re here for the long-term, and we’re currently hiring Production Operators in our Griffin, GA facility for 2nd, 3rd and 12-hour shifts.


Job Scope:

Our Production Operator positions are truly the heart of our company. You will perform a variety of manufacturing duties including mixing, molding, finishing, assembly, audits, and visual inspections. The position includes setup and cleaning of production machinery and tools; visual inspection of produced goods; working with molds and related equipment; data entry; and other general tasks common to a busy manufacturer’s production endeavors. This is a ground floor opportunity with room for growth. 


Responsibilities and Duties:

Production Operator responsibilities include:

  • Safe operation of production equipment, machinery, and tools. This includes hot transfer molds, cold transfer molds, compression molds, finishing presses, assembly machines, air hoses, molding carts, pliers, hoists, air blasters, and related.
  • Perform job set-ups as required.
  • Read, comprehend, and strictly follow all documented processes and procedures.
  • Enter material and scrap information into our computer system.
  • Other related production / manufacturing tasks as needed.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED, good attention to detail and a disciplined work ethic.
  • Production Operators must have the ability to stand up to 12-hours per day, and be able to push and pull on molds and equipment up to 25 lbs, withstand cold and hot temperatures, and wear medical gowning apparel / PPE (gowns, masks, booties, and hair nets).
  • Shift flexibility is also paramount. Vernay normally operates on three 8-hour shifts per day (Monday through Friday). Please note that during peak periods, the plant may move to a 12-hour shift schedule which requires working every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
  • Basic computer/data entry skills, and a working knowledge of common tools. One-year of manufacturing/production experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must score a minimum of 80% on pre-assessment testing.
  • Vernay is a tobacco/vape/alcohol/drug-free workplace.
  • Note that Vernay prohibits employee’s immediate family members from working at Vernay.


Compensation and Benefits

  • The Production Operator is a Full-Time position.
  • Starting pay is $15.00 per hour, plus $1 shift premium for Second, Third and 12-hour night shifts.
