Vernay to showcase Medical Flow Control Solutions at MD&M West 2018


Vernay Laboratories is proudly participating in the MD&M West 2018 Exhibition. Vernay will feature a comprehensive line of Medical Flow Control Solutions, introduce a new generation of Check Valves and offer a new cutting-edge Disposable Pump Series.  The Global Medical Team will also conduct live product demonstrations.


Medical Design & Manufacturing West (MD&M) is the largest exhibition of medical technology in North America.  This 3 day event is being held from February 6-8, 2018 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, USA. This event showcases medical industry products and the latest technologies, including: 3D printing, flow control and medicine dispersement solutions, new battery technology, and new materials developed.


Continuing to build on a long tradition of innovation, Vernay will proudly introduce its next generation of check valves for critical medical applications.  Designed with a normally closed duckbill, the new Vernay Supravalve NC offers superior reverse leak protection with a low opening pressure.  "As a Researcher, I am really excited to be able to introduce new technologies, which we are fortunate at Vernay to do often", states Bob Ferguson, VP of Vernay Global Research and Development.  He adds: " I specifically appreciate it when the technology represents significant innovative features.  The Vernay Normally Closed Duckbill Technology® is a radically innovative design, in the respect that typical duckbill valves are comparatively considered to be normally-open designs.  The significance of a normally closed duckbill represents the convergence of multiple performance benefits such as reduced tortuous flowpath in the forward direction while maintaining comparatively non-existent reverse direction leakage, even in the low pressure regions.  Vernay's new technology also allows us to achieve a prescribed low opening pressure in the forward direction.  All these benefits combined into one "simple to connect" valve assembly (utilizing standard connections) will certainly provide our customers with a promising new solution for their fluid control challenges".


Vernay, in partnership with Quantex, will also feature their new Disposable Pump Series CS-3 with micro dosing features, and a flowrate 0-200ml/hr capability.  Andy Woodward, Vernay Global Sales and Marketing VP believes “This new technology has tremendous potential in the medical sector because of its ability to gain precise dispensing accuracy, but at a price point that allows for disposability.  There is nothing like it on the market!” Vernay will also showcase new bi-directional V-flow® Dispenser Valves with a ‘no-drip’ feature. Other Flow Control Solutions to be shown include: check valves, diaphragms, flow valves and assembly valves.
