The Quality Manager leads plant-wide quality initiatives, ensuring that products meet the highest standards of performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement, leading cross-functional collaboration, and implementing quality systems that support operational excellence.


Primary Responsibilities/Essential Skills


  • Champion process control and ensure strict adherence to procedures.
  • Drive zero-defect culture by minimizing internal and external customer claims under the guidance of a skilled Quality Manager.
  • Lead and develop a team of Quality Engineers and lab staff, ensuring timely, robust problem-solving.
  • Oversee corrective and preventive actions, backed by root cause analysis and structured follow-up.
  • Measure and improve quality KPIs, driving cross-functional actions to improve performance.
  • Own the Quality Lab operations, aligning outputs with production needs.
  • Ensure validation of equipment and processes for capability and compliance crucial for any Quality Manager role.
  • Use Lean and Six Sigma principles to reduce risks and cut the cost of poor quality.
  • Maintain APQP process integrity during product transitions from NPD to production.
  • Identify training needs for quality and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Support capital planning, 5S implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field (required).
  • 5+ years in a Quality Leadership role, including as a Quality Manager, within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Experience managing both technical professionals and production floor teams.
  • Proficiency in Minitab or similar statistical tools.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset with a passion for excellence typical of a Quality Manager.
