As the Business Development Manager Specialty, you are a true multitasker. You will balance between being a business owner and a developer, focusing on product and market development while managing customers in both geographical and demographic market areas. You’ll be fully engaged in optimizing new revenue and profitability. Your customer portfolio is diverse, covering a wide range of products. You identify new business opportunities and cultivate customer relationships which positions Vernay as a long-term supplier to target accounts in the assigned region within the specialty markets. This position will report to the Global Specialty Business Unit manager.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required


  • HBO+/WO education in a commercial direction, e.g. Business Administration or Commercial Economics or similar.
  • Minimum of three years’ work experience as Account/Sales/Business Development Manager
  • Experience in an international environment, affinity with strategic technical sales processes.
  • Demonstrable strategic insight and excellent communication and social skills.
  • Ambition to grow further and leadership skills.
  • Personal characteristics: enthusiastic, result-oriented, analytical, customer-oriented, entrepreneurial, determined and flexible.
