Job Scope

The Human Resources Manager is accountable for developing, implementing, and monitoring HR policy within the organization. The role focuses on strategic and tactical HR topics such as organizational development, talent management, leadership development, and sustainable employability. The HR Manager acts as a strategic advisor to the management team and contributes to achieving company goals through effective HR management. Responsibility for the overall profitability of the Oldenzaal plant is shared with the management team.


Primary Responsibilities/Essential Skills


  • Develop and implement strategic HR policies with a human-centered approach, aligned with organizational objectives, to ensure motivated and engaged employees.
  • Lead the HR team, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and customer-oriented HR services.
  • Advise management on HR matters, including labor law, organizational transitions, workforce planning, and cultural change.
  • Promote a people-first culture by enhancing employee well-being, engagement, and inclusion at all levels.
  • Be a visible and approachable HR leader, fostering trust and open communication between employees and management.
  • Encourage a strong feedback culture and ensure employee voices are heard and translated into actionable improvements.
  • Promote lifelong learning, vitality, and adaptability to ensure sustainable employability at all career stages.
  • Monitor and report on key HR KPI’s such as staff turnover, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction.
  • Manage the entire employee life cycle; recruitment, development and offboarding processes (in-through-outflow).
  • Design and implement policies related to training & development, performance management, and compensation & benefits.
  • Ensure correct application of employment conditions and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards such as IATF 16949.
  • Lead HR-related projects, including HR software implementation, cultural transformation, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Represent HR in interactions with employee representative bodies (e.g., Works Council, Unions, Employers’ Association) and external partners.
  • Lead the local emergency response team to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required


  • · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources Management with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • · Strong communication skills and fluency in English and German.
  • · In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations, as well as health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
