We are currently looking for a Junior Physicist Intern to join Vernay Italia S.r.l. in Asti for a 6 month term.

As a Junior Physicist Intern specializing in Optics and Laser Interferometry, you will be an integral part of our Research & Development team. In this role, you will:

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Skills


  • Collaborate in the design and optimization of experiments based on laser interferometric techniques
  • Perform simulations and modeling of optical systems, using dedicated software
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, ensuring accuracy of measurements
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of optical and laser equipment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on research and development projects
  • Draft technical reports and project documentation

Education, Experience, and Skills Required


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics.
  • Knowledge of laser interferometry and optical measurement techniques
  • Academic laboratory experience with optical and laser instruments
  • Ability to use optical simulation software
  • Aptitude for scientific research and complex problem solving
  • Excellent data analysis skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and aptitude for teamwork
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Knowledge of programming for process automation (Python, LabVIEW) will be considered a preferred requisite
