Process Technologist – Surface Treatment & Adhesion

As a Process Technologist, you are the driving force behind the development and improvement of processes related to pre-treatment, bonding, coating, and rubber injection molding. You navigate between technology, project management, and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. You translate technical specifications into smart, scalable production processes — and make them a reality. From concept to handover to operations – you’ve got it covered.


Primary Responsibilities/Essential Skills


  • You’ll be responsible for initiating new processes and optimization projects.
  • You collaborate closely with R&D, suppliers, and customers to define and validate specifications.
  • You create project timelines and ensure clear communication and documentation.
  • You transfer processes to the Surface Treatment & Molding departments.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s level in Process or Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial, international environment.
  • Knowledge of surface treatment, adhesion techniques, and experience in rubber/plastic processing.
  • A plus: experience with Lean Six Sigma & automotive standards (ISO/TS 16949).
  • A natural leader with strong analytical skills, persuasiveness, and a proactive mindset.
  • Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage.
