COMPAMED runs alongside MEDICA and is a leading international trade fair for the medical technology supplier sector. Last year’s show brought together more than 750 exhibitors from 40 countries. COMPAMED 2026 will again focus on supplier expertise in areas such as manufacturing, materials, quality, and regulation.
Over the past two years, Vernay has continued to invest in its medical business. Its facility in Kennesaw, Georgia, specializes in liquid silicone rubber (LSR) molding and micro-molding. Vernay now holds ISO 13485 certification at sites in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. This gives customers the option to produce parts in more than one region and reduce supply chain risk. In addition, the company operates an ISO 7 cleanroom with automated, lights-out manufacturing.
In November 2025, Edwards Lifesciences presented Vernay with its Bronze Supplier Award. The award recognized Vernay’s quality, delivery, and technical innovation, as well as a partnership that spans more than two decades.
At COMPAMED 2026, the team will highlight sealing solutions for trocar and introducer sheaths used in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Vernay will also feature components for structural heart and cardiovascular devices, along with the Supravalve® family of medical check valves.
Vernay formulates its own elastomer compounds and develops them together with part geometry and the molding process. Its engineers model performance with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Vernay also developed its own fluid-structure interaction (FSI) simulation tool specifically for fluid control components. Before launch, in-house functional testing verifies new designs, which helps cut down on prototype rounds.
