As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to escalate around the world, we are writing to share our commitment to you: our customers, our suppliers and our stakeholders from all over the globe.
The safety of our community – employees, customers, and partners – is our primary concern.
At Vernay, we have committed to a cautious approach to running our business under the given circumstances. Based on latest advice from the World Health Organization, CDC and local governments we are implementing the recommended guidelines at each location where we operate to minimize the risk of spreading this virus.
Our corporate task force and local response teams are continuously monitoring the situation. Based on their input, we are testing and improving our contingency plans to enable us to continue to fulfill the needs of all of our stakeholders in these challenging times.
Over the past few days, we have received a growing number of questions regarding our continued operations in Europe, China, Japan and the US. As of today, March 18, 2020, all facilities remain open for production with near normal staffing levels. Our office employees are working from home where possible. In addition, we have instituted a “no visitor” policy at our facilities and a “restricted travel” policy for all employees.
Our team is committed and equipped to continue supporting our customers.
Vernay has numerous customers who require products that are a component used for medical devices currently in short supply globally and we will make production for those customers a priority in the short term. Further to this, any medical device customer who receives this email and needs supply chain support due to a shortage of flow control products, we will make ourselves available where possible.
